Job Overview:

The Adaptation Advisor will provide technical leadership to the USAID-funded Climate Adaptation Support Activity (CASA). They will manage workstreams with USAID missions and partners, develop work plans, and contribute to thought leadership and learning for CASA and USAID. This is a long-term position through September 2027, fully remote from the continental US or hybrid within a commutable distance to Tetra Tech’s office locations.


  • Provide technical leadership to workstreams initiated by USAID.
  • Develop work plans and facilitate training and communications products.
  • Guide exploration of emerging areas of climate adaptation and resilience.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and learning for CASA and USAID.
  • Participate in work plan and strategic planning.
  • Identify and implement technical tasks for CASA.
  • Coordinate and manage consultants and subcontractors.
  • Represent CASA at workshops, conferences, and events.


  • Master’s degree in relevant field.
  • 7+ years of experience in climate change adaptation and resilience.
  • Experience designing adaptation programming and assessing adaptation capacities.
  • Proficiency in English; proficiency in French or Spanish preferred.
  • Current US work authorization required.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
