The Marketing & Engagement Project Manager supports the Marketing and Engagement Team in fulfilling its purpose to raise Alight’s visibility, increase private giving, build strategic partnerships, and engage our donors. Reporting to the Annual Fund Director, with a dotted line to the Marketing & Communications Director, this position spends most of your time coordinating these departments. Below are examples of how you could anticipate spending your time, with other duties as assigned. 

Marketing Project Management – 50%  

–          Lead weekly team meetings for website refresh (preparing for a June launch) 

–          Create and manage project workback schedule related to website refresh  

–          Manage vendor relationships including acting as the liaison between vendors and staff 

–          Organize and prioritize all inbound production requests from Alight colleagues   

Donor Communications – 40% 

–          Coordinate Annual Fund fundraising tasks, including data management, updating and creating donation forms, creating marketing automations, sending weekly email campaigns, managing email stationery and templates, and creating landing pages  

–          Pull and maintain lists for campaigns and track campaign analytics 

–          Support database administrators to sync information across various databases 

–          Update and document donor information and communication preferences in the database and marketing software and support maintenance of accurate data; Document online campaigns for audit purposes.

Donor Event Support 10%  

–          Serve as thought partner on donor engagement events and as ambassador for the successful execution of events, both virtual and in-person, before, during, and following events 

Required skills and experience 

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a project manager or production role
  • Experienced using Asana (or similar project management software)
  • Knowledge of Active Campaigns, and Classy highly preferred (or experience with similar set of tools)
  • Excellent Organization and Time Management skills
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Event coordination experience preferred, including on-site coordination, vendor management and guest experience
  • Self-direction and motivation are key
