Duties and Responsibilities

  • Telephone and Cell Phone Management: Work on telephone request and cell phone ordering processes.
  • Video Conferencing Support: Provide support for video conferencing services for UNDP offices. Interact with ICT managers to resolve issues, schedule conferences, test new software updates, and push firmware updates to video codecs when needed.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor conference performance and statistics using a cloud portal. Take corrective action to address issues identified by the monitoring system.
  • Integration and Training: Actively participate in integrating new sites, updating documentation, and training local site support. Provide guidance and training to staff members on MS Teams and Zoom video systems to improve usage and eliminate errors.
  • Documentation: Prepare and publish internal documentation and knowledge base articles.


  • Event Planning: Familiarity with planning and executing events in a large organization, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.
  • Communication Tools: Proficient in MS Teams and Zoom communication tools.
  • Change Management: Experience navigating teams through change.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Organizational Skills: Extremely organized with attention to detail.
  • Multitasking: Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Education: Enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program.
  • Experience: Knowledge in networking and network security, video conferencing, cloud telephony. Familiarity with Microsoft collaboration and productivity tools, scripting languages, web standards, and technologies is advantageous.
  • Skills: Ability to gather, consolidate, and analyze data from different sources. Fluent in written and spoken English, with working knowledge of other UN languages being advantageous.


  • Stipend: Monthly stipend provided based on duty location. Other expenses connected with the internship will be borne by the intern.
  • Insurance: Interns are responsible for securing adequate medical insurance for the duration of the internship.
  • Employment Expectation: The internship is not intended to lead to further employment with UNDP, but to complement an intern’s studies.
