Job Summary

The Programme Management Analyst at UNOPS will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, supporting various activities related to project monitoring and evaluation. This role involves acting as a focal point for data collection, supporting the development of data collection tools, analyzing collected data, and producing high-quality reports on projects. Additionally, the Analyst will assist with overseeing independent evaluations, developing monitoring and evaluation capacity building products, and supporting project activities globally as required. The position is crucial for ensuring the successful implementation and evaluation of projects under the Global Programme on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) and the Global Programme on Prosecution, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration (PRR).

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the focal point for data collection for monitoring and evaluation of projects.
  • Support the development of data collection tools.
  • Consolidate and analyze collected data.
  • Develop timely and high-quality reporting on projects, including various types of reports and presentations.
  • Support oversight of independent evaluations.
  • Assist with development of monitoring and evaluation capacity building products.
  • Support meetings, events, conferences, and trainings related to monitoring and evaluation.
  • Assist with implementation of project activities globally, as required by the Global Programmes on PCVE and PRR.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

  • Advanced University Degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) preferably in political science, international relations, public administration, criminal justice, psychology, or other relevant field is required; Or
  • First Level University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.

Experience:

  • Experience in project monitoring and evaluation is required.
  • Exposure to youth engagement is an asset.
  • Experience in PCVE and PRR projects is an asset.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis is desired.
  • Experience with data visualization is an asset.
  • Experience supporting projects in Africa or Asia is desired.

Language:

  • Fluency in oral and written English is required.
  • Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an asset.
