The Operations Coordinator oversees operational functions for the IRC in Virginia offices, ensuring a compliant environment for staff, clients, and partners. Responsibilities include safety and security, supply chain management, IT coordination, facilities management, and staff supervision.

Major Responsibilities

  • Safety and Security (S&S): Act as the focal point for daily S&S matters, develop and maintain safety plans, conduct emergency exercises, and manage incident reporting.
  • Information Technology (IT): Serve as the primary contact for IT matters, ensure staff are informed about IT resources, and coordinate with regional and HQ IT teams.
  • Supply Chain & Inventory Management: Lead procurement, manage relationships with suppliers, oversee asset and inventory management, and coordinate warehousing.
  • Facility Management: Manage office leases, coordinate repairs and improvements, allocate workspaces, and support office infrastructure.
  • Staff Management: Provide leadership, supervision, and development support to operations staff, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of administrative management experience.
  • Skills and Competencies: Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, proficiency in MS Office suite, and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English required.

Working Environment

  • Combination of standard office environment, remote work, and fieldwork.
  • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
