Job Overview:

The Outreach Officer at USIP leads engagement efforts with K-12 communities across the U.S., managing programs, initiatives, and professional development opportunities for educators. This role involves coordinating educational outreach, designing and updating educational resources, and representing USIP at various events and conferences.


Program Management:

  • Manage the Peace Teachers Program and national initiatives for student audiences.
  • Develop and update educational programs, resources, and activities for school audiences.
  • Serve as Contracting Officer Technical Representative for all K-12 related contracts.

Educational Outreach:

Communication and Representation:

  • Collaborate on communication strategies with teachers and school-based audiences.
  • Represent USIP at important venues and events.

General Duties:

  • Provide input on PE’s work, engage with other parts of USIP, and supervise junior staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social or behavioral sciences with 6+ years of related experience required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to understand and connect with U.S. teachers and school systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
