About the Role

The Quality and Reliability Production Management Engineer at Uber serves as a key liaison between Platform Engineering and the wider engineering community, advocating for quality and reliability standards throughout the product lifecycle. You will lead initiatives to ensure adherence to production policies and best practices, ultimately enhancing production quality and reliability.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and feedback on production quality and reliability.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to development teams.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in incident reviews and collaborate on remediation plans.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in big data analysis.
  • Proficiency in tooling development languages like Python, SQL, and Tableau.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and user experience fields.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
  • Technical proficiency in software development or production engineering.
  • Experience in quality assurance or reliability engineering roles.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, testing, and analyzing production systems.

For Seattle, WA-based roles, the base salary range is USD$149,000 – USD$165,500 per year.
