Role Overview:

The Senior Accountant will support the Chief Financial Officer and Accounting Manager in daily finance operations, ensuring accuracy of financial records and transactions. They will compile financial data, assist in creating annual budgets and financial forecasts, and optimize finance department processes.

Candidate Profile:

  • Significant experience in financial roles within charitable, environmental, or grantmaking organizations.
  • Strong financial management skills, knowledge of accounting procedures, and nonprofit accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP, annual audits, and IRS 990 process.
  • Meticulous with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a virtual environment and solving complex problems collaboratively.
  • Fluency in English required; CPA/CMA and knowledge of IFRS preferred.
