Scope of Work

The IRC’s Home Study and Post-Release Services (HSPRS) for unaccompanied children in the U.S. aims to assess the safety and suitability of sponsors before a child’s release and provide post-release case management support.

Major Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-home assessments with children and sponsors.
  • Develop individualized service plans and conduct regular check-ins.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide recommendations for reunification.
  • Provide referral and connection to various services.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science.
  • Written and verbal fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Minimum of two years of related professional experience.
  • Experience working with immigrant populations preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time up to 200 miles.

Working Environment

  • The Senior Caseworker provides virtual case management but may attend in-person meetings as needed.
  • Variable work schedule including evenings and weekends.
