Chemonics is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor for the USAID-funded Integrated Health Systems Strengthening project. This project aims to achieve sustainable, equitable, and resilient health systems through evidence-driven approaches to health systems strengthening (HSS) in various countries.


  • Provide strategic technical direction for the program under the leadership of the Project Director.
  • Ensure project activities adhere to established good practices in HSS and effective approaches.
  • Guide the development of customized work plans tailored to core activities and specific countries.
  • Oversee comprehensive and timely activity reporting.
  • Support technical work including analysis, publication, and development of tools related to health systems strengthening.
  • Utilize monitoring and evaluation data to adjust programmatic approaches and strategies.
  • Implement quality assurance and quality control mechanisms related to technical assistance.
  • Act as a liaison to USAID missions, host country governments, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide thought leadership to advance health systems strengthening approaches.


  • Master’s degree or higher in public health or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in public health or health systems strengthening programs in LMICs, with at least 10 years of senior technical leadership experience.
  • Experience in leading diverse teams and coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in a second language preferred.
