Job Summary

The Technical Advisor for MEL will provide support to Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLA) projects, ensuring high-quality MEAL systems. This role involves strategic oversight, technical input, and coordination of knowledge management activities to enhance program effectiveness and donor reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support Global VSLA Team MEAL Systems: Provide guidance and technical input for VSLA managed programs, ensuring adherence to CARE and donor M&E standards.
  • Support CO Programs: Develop M&E plans, review evaluation studies, and facilitate program learning and knowledge management.
  • Support Global VSLA Learning: Identify best practices, develop replicable models, and contribute to global reporting and learning agendas.

Qualifications

  • MA in development studies/economics/social science/microfinance or related subject.
  • 5+ years of experience in MEL for VSLA, technical assistance, and program design.
  • Practical understanding of village savings and loan associations or similar savings group modalities.
  • Experience in international programming in economic development or food and nutrition security.
  • Proficiency in research design, monitoring, and evaluation.
