Job Overview

The Virtual Caseworker will provide trauma-informed services to asylum seekers relocating across the country. This role involves conducting virtual assessments, providing case management services, and advocating for clients’ needs throughout their resettlement journey.


  • Virtual Assessments: Conduct virtual assessments and counseling for asylum seekers interested in relocating.
  • Case Management: Provide virtual case management services, formulate service plans, and advocate for clients’ needs.
  • Information and Orientation: Provide information on basic rights, responsibilities in the immigration court process, and navigating new communities.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assess and monitor client progress, address challenges, and ensure utilization of available resources.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with partner organizations to build and maintain relationships with service providers across the country.
  • Documentation: Detail client interactions, input client information in databases, and assist with tracking and reporting.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Relevant professional experience in human services field required; minimum of 2 years’ experience strongly preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies: Competency in case management best practices, understanding of the U.S. immigration system, crisis intervention skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English required; bilingual ability in languages such as Spanish, French, or Arabic is a plus.
