Any Printer Manufacturer
The sheer number of comments alone validated my frustration with every printer I’ve ever had. While some people had companies they didn’t like (HP) and others had companies they defended (Brother), one comment was infuriating to think about: “HP can remotely disable your ink if you unsubscribe from their [service] before finishing the whole cartridge.”
New Doc Martens vs. Old Doc Martens
While Doc Marten earned a positive reputation for the quality of their shoes in the past, their manufacturing has taken a turn for the worst. One commenter mentioned that they had a pair that lasted 20 years, while any new purchases lasted a year or less.
Holiday Gift Basket Companies
As someone on the receiving end of a basket or two in my life (usually after a loss), I couldn’t agree more with this opinion. These baskets are typically overpriced, full of low-quality snacks or small items, and not quite the message of appreciation, thanks, or best wishes you hope to send.
Malort (Carl Jeppson Company)
A good number of Chicago residents would want to fight me over this; however, just as many people are disgusted over the mere thought of drinking Malort. One person put it succinctly: “Malort is famously challenging to drink, with a flavor that includes notes of gasoline, grapefruit, sweat, wax, fire, mineral oil, and bitterness.”
Adobe
Apparently, Adobe has gotten so bad that one user mentioned they use Microsoft Edge to work on PDFs, which they were embarrassed about. Another person said they’re frustrated with Adobe because they require you to pay monthly, a year in advance, and charge you if you cancel.
EA Games
The discourse surrounding EA games isn’t new, and the comment section proved people are still angry about it. One joked: “Challenge not releasing the same game every year: impossible.”
Gibson Guitars
Musicians aplenty had negative things to say about Gibson, including ongoing issues since the 1960s! An individual who works in a guitar shop said they have high standards, leading them to “reject probably half of the Gibson electrics we get in for playability issues.”
Nike
People love Nike shoes and continue to buy them for many reasons despite the higher price tag (compared to shoes that don’t have such a recognizable label). However, it seems that their manufacturing process has gotten progressively worse over the years, and many people are no longer willing to pay extra for low-quality products.
Balenciaga
High price tags don’t buy comfort; who would’ve thought? One person commented, “My guys are selling $6000 trash bags made of leather.” I’ve never owned a pair of designer shoes myself, so I am not their target audience, but I can’t say I’d want to spend that much for a couple of shoes that will hurt my feet.
Tesla
Another purchase that’s framed as being high-quality and even luxury that will likely let you down is a Tesla. Apparently, Teslas are poorly made — with reports of poor design and make. One person mentioned that they rode in a Tesla once, and it was “the worst suspension of any car I’ve been in; the only worse one was a 97 Corolla.”
